Lake Conroe Hills is a community near the towns of Willis and Conroe, north of Houston, Texas. Dating back to the 1970s, this neighborhood has since undergone thoughtful development, resulting in spacious streets and ample greenspaces.

Only a few minutes east, residents of Lake Conroe Hills can make it to the town of Willis, with access to the I-45 Highway. Heading south, Conroe is less than 20 minutes away, and Houston just less than an hour.

Lake Conroe Hills' western edge borders Lake Conroe itself, its northern edge is the county road 1097, and its eastern edge opens onto mixed use land, with spacious properties, fields, and woods.

Lake Conroe Hills Attractions

The biggest attraction for Lake Conroe Hills, and the area in general, is undoubtedly Lake Conroe itself. Constructed in the early 1970s on the San Jacinto River, the lake is now roughly 21,000 acres in size, extending from Conroe, into Montgomery County.

The upper portion of the lake also extends into the Sam Houston National Forest, a huge park consisting mostly of East Texas Piney Woods forests. This combination of natural space makes Lake Conroe a hugely popular area for those wishing to enjoy the great outdoors - recreational boaters, fishermen, hunters, and campers.

Other attractions in the area include the numerous top-quality venues for golfing, including Bentwater Country Club, Grand Pines Golf Club, Panorama Golf Club, West Fork Golf Club, and April Sound Country Club.

Within Lake Conroe Hills itself, residents enjoy a public boat ramp, many private docks, and many open greens and wooded spaces.

The area also hosts many annual events, excellent for families. These include a Christmas parade, and a 4th of July party.

Lake Conroe Hills Schools

Students in Lake Conroe Hills are served by the Willis Independent School District which includes Willis High School, Robert P. Brabham Middle School, and Lynn Lucas Middle School.
